MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Mechanical Engineering department of the institute has extensive laboratory facilities and excellent human resources. The department has Heat engine Applied Mechanics, Refrigeration, Automobile Engineering, Metrology and Instrumentation Labs all equipped with necessary machines models, trainers and tools etc. Mechanical Engineering Department also provides consultancy services to the industries for solving engineering and quality control problems.

WORKSHOP:

Being an old institute the workshop of the institute has many machines ranging from fundamental machine tools to the modern CNC trainers. Workshop of the institute is highly developed in content and variety. Major shops/equipments include Machine Shop with planer, slotter and Radial drilling machine. Fitting shop, Carpentry shop, Smithy Shop, Molding shop with pit furnace, Foundry shop including Cupola furnace, Welding shop, CNC Milling Trainer and CNC Lathe Trainer etc.
